On Thursday, October 24th. at 5: PM, Michael Gary Shannon 3rd, age 22 a resident of Hull, Texas surrendered himself to Liberty County Sheriff’s Sgt. Investigator Billy Knox at the Sheriff’ Department on a charge of Manslaughter. Shannon had earlier been indicted by a Liberty County Grand Jury on September 26th. for this charge which was the result of a vehicle wreck in May of 2012 at FM 770 and FM 160 where a baby was killed in the accident.
This vehicle crash and the resulting investigation was conducted by another agency but prior to Michael Shannon’s surrender on Thursday, the warrant had not been served. In recent days, Sgt. Presently, Michael Shannon is in the Liberty County jail and is not eligible for bond.
