ARREST OF ONE OF "TOP TEN" WANTED BY LIBERTY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPT.

Oct 08, 2013

The Liberty County Sheriff Department’s “Top 10 Most Wanted” fugitive list was reduced by one when members from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department assisted by U.S. Marshal’s arrested JOHNNY DEAN KNIGHT on several outstanding warrants. Knight, who was found hiding in a kitchen cabinet at his residence located at 197 CR 4010 offered no resistance when Officers  made the arrest at approximately 1:pm on Monday, Oct. 7th.

According to the lead Supervisor in charge of this arrest, charges against Johnny Knight consisted of several charges out of Liberty County. LCSO has two (2) misdemeanor Evading Arrest warrants as well as a criminal non-support charge originally out of Harris County but later turned over to Liberty County to be served.

Chambers County had a warrant on Johnny Knight for Theft of Wire and one warrant for Felony Evading arrest while the Deer Park Police Department had several misdemeanor traffic warrants on Knight.

Justice of the Peace Judge Stephen Hebert set bonds on the Liberty County cases at $1,500 for the Criminal Non-Support case out of Harris County and bonds of $5,000 each for the two (2) Misdemeanor Evading warrants out of Liberty County.

No bond has been set, as yet, for the Deer Park Police Department misdemeanor warrants although Johnny Knight has a “hold” on him for that agency.
