AUTO-PEDESTRIAN ON FM 160 N. IN LIBERTY COUNTY

At approximately 10:28pm, last evening, Tuesday, July 23rd.
the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department received a “911” call regarding an
Auto/Pedestrian accident on FM 160 N. near the Raywood Grocery at FM 770.
According to Sheriff’s Cpl. Kevin Theiss, it appeared that a white Ford
Explorer was North bound on FM 160 and the vehicle struck a white female, who
was in the roadway, knocking her into the ditch on the West side of FM 160.
Liberty County EMS arrived but the victim was deceased at
the scene. J.P. Judge Ronnie Davis responded to the scene and conducted his
investigation while the Sheriff’s units worked traffic control.
As of this writing, the Sheriff’s Department has no identity
of either the deceased nor the person that struck the victim and all follow up
investigation is being conducted by the Department Of Public Safety Troopers
