$25,000 In Stolen Property Recovered
Apr 05, 2013
On the morning of Friday, April 5, 2013,
Liberty County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Sergeant Investigator Kenny Dagle
received a tip that there was possibly some stolen property located at a
residence on FM 770, about one mile north of FM 834. Sgt. Dagle and Texas and
Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger Jimmy Belt went
to the residence to check on the tip.
When the two investigators arrived, they
observed a John Deere 850D “Gator” that appeared to match the description of
one reported stolen by Liberty Police Department. They received consent from
the person in control of the property to search further. During the search, the
investigators also found 20 foot bay boat and a 16 foot lowboy trailer, both of
which had been reported stolen.
Sgt. Dagle contacted Liberty Police
Department (LPD) and they sent two investigators for assistance on the
recovered property in the LPD report.
The names of the people involved and the
address where the property was recovered are not being released, as the
investigation is ongoing. Sgt. Kenny Dagle is the lead investigator for LCSO.
Investigators with LCSO, LPD and TSCRA will continue to work together as more
information and evidence develops.
