PATROL DIVISION

Our mission is to serve and safeguard all persons in Liberty County by working cooperatively with the community to ensure the quality of life for all through effective, efficient and professional delivery of law enforcement services.

We are committed to being responsive to our community in the delivery of quality service. We strive for excellence in delivering law enforcement services by ensuring appropriate staffing, training and assignment of personnel. We also strive to instill the concepts of crime prevention and problem solving as everyday work values in all our personnel. We intend to respond proactively to anticipated public safety problems through teamwork and community policing philosophy and attitude.

The Patrol Division protects and serves the public 24 hours a day by actively and randomly patrolling the unincorporated areas of Liberty County. In addition, the Patrol Division is responsible for responding to calls for service, conducting preliminary criminal investigations, responding to emergencies, enforcing traffic laws, and investigating accidents.

The Patrol Division provides law enforcement services for over 1,170 square miles in the unincorporated areas of Liberty County. The division has 32 deputies assigned divided in four 12 hour shifts. With the help and support of the public these dedicated men and women provide a safe environment for our community.
